Our History

Encompass Legal and Community Services (ELCS), formerly named Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre, is a not for profit legal and social support organisation, established in 1996.

We offer services across the northern metropolitan area and selected regions of wider WA, with offices in Mirrabooka, Wanneroo, Joondalup and Yanchep.  We also partner with other community focused organisations to deliver services in a range of locations.

We provide a unique approach to delivering legal and non-legal support services, as we understand that complex issues require integrated programs. 

Our support is assured through our multidisciplinary team, comprising of solicitors, older people’s rights advocates, tenancy advocates, social workers, financial counsellors, financial advocates, community legal education staff, program support staff and a valuable contingent of volunteers.  We are a nationally accredited organisation and we also provide ongoing community legal education and professional legal education.

About our Fees:

  • We charge a fixed $30 appointment scheduling fee for all appointments. This fee should be paid once your appointment is confirmed and you will be provided with payments instructions.
  • We do not charge additional fees for legal advice.
  • If you have an onsite appointment you are able to pay same day just before your appointment.
  • If we prepare documents for you, a document preparation fee is payable. These vary from $20 to $100 and are reduced where a valid concession card is presented.
  • We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and also EFT and cash for on-site payments.
